York Pilates Space has a reputation for excellence in our matwork sessions. With a maximum of nine per class (currently reduced to 4 to comply with covid measures) students are guided through the method with care and attention. Good technique is always valued more than stressing the body with poorly executed positioning.
Beginners receive a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Pilates, so that the strength and flexibility which Pilates brings can be achieved safely and effectively. Intermediate students are taught to develop more demanding movements at a pace suited to the individual.
Pilates mat classes run termly, but newcomers may join a class at any time and pay pro ratae after their introductory personal training session.
